Mychal Love

Mychal received her B.A. in Psychology from the Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa in 2011 and her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida in August of 2016. She relocated to Colorado Springs in September of 2016, where she is currently a Registered Psychotherapist, and is in the process of earning her Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate License.  Mychal has previous experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse, and working with a Physician who treated eating disorder patients for the Renfrew Center in Philadelphia, PA. She also worked as a case manager for an insurance company, and assisted with people who had bariatric surgery or were in the process of having it. This work helped her realize that obesity is a family disease, and her passion is to help obese clients and their families make the changes needed to overcome obesity related eating disorders. Mychal uses Solution Focused Therapy along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the principles of Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™ to help clients and families learn to understand and change eating disorder behaviors, in hopes of preventing them from being learned by future generations.
