I used to think,
” I’m broken, I’ll fix myself
and then I can love myself.”
But nothing happened.
Then I thought,
“I’m broken,
I’m going to love myself.”
And somehow, I got fixed.

She also worked as a case manager for an insurance company, and assisted with people who had bariatric surgery or were in the process of having it. This work helped her realize that obesity is a family disease, and her passion is to help obese clients and their families make the changes needed to overcome obesity related eating disorders. Mychal uses Solution Focused Therapy along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the principles of Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™ to help clients and families learn to understand and change eating disorder behaviors, in hopes of preventing them from being learned by future generations.
