Murphy’s theoretical orientation is mindfulness-based, focusing-oriented art therapy, with a Humanistic and Transpersonal perspective. As a part of eating disorder treatment, Murphy offers her clients the option of art therapy as a part of any session – which can facilitate a deeper means of expression which goes beyond words. She emphasizes to her clients that it is not necessary to have any previous experience using art materials to participate in art therapy. She meets with clients at a private office location – ask for details.
