Kiki Haakenstad

Kiki is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. She received her Master’s Degree in Individual and Family Counseling from the University of Nebraska, in 1987. She commenced her work experience in several group homes as a counselor, The Nebraska State Penitentiary supervising inmates, counseling in a dual diagnosis, treatment center for teens and adults, program director at The YMCA and The YWCA, coordinating programs for under privileged children. Currently, she has been in private practice since 2004. Kiki is a wife and mother of 4 adult children and understands the struggles of having a family in an overwhelming world. She has extensive experience across the age span, and with major mental health and medical issues. She focuses on the whole person; mind, body and spirit and collaborates with other health care providers such as nurses and doctors to enhance treatment and give the best outcome. She is a faith based therapist and can include this in treatment.
