Emily Johnson has more than 12 years of experience in mental health settings, with a specialty in eating disorder treatment. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Her special interest lies in working with athletes who struggle with eating disorders and body image issues. As a triathlete, Emily has first-hand knowledge about the demands of training for competitive athletic events, and how essential is is to have balance in body, mind and spirit. Emily uses a combination of Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With her additional spiritual training including her Master’s Degree in Counseling Ministries, Emily can guide clients to clarify their spiritual beliefs and values, to find a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in their lives. She has additional training to guide individuals through end of life issues, grief and loss. Emily meets with clients at a private office location, please contact her for details.
