I hope that Oasis Creative Counselling can be a peaceful place of refuge from whatever difficulties you may be facing in your everyday life.

Demill Keevil

Demill opened Oasis Creative Counselling with the goal of offering people a safe and welcoming environment where they can work toward the change they desire. Demill’s educational background combines two of her greatest passions: art and psychology. Demill completed her undergraduate degree at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She completed her graduate studies at Adler University, where she earned a Master of Counselling Psychology: Art Therapy degree. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), and a Professional Member of the British Columbia Art Therapy Association (BCATA). Demill’s path to becoming a counsellor and an art therapist was greatly influenced by her personal healing journey and those who helped her through difficult periods of her own life. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one in which the counsellor must be open to each client’s individual needs. In Demill’s free time, she enjoys doing yoga, travelling, reading, making art, going to the cinema, walking in nature with her dogs, live music, swimming, and spending time with her family and friends.
