Ashley Wilhite

Ashley Willhite, MA, LMHC, NCC is a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa.  She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa, and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with honors from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. Ashley has an array of clinical experience ranging from in-home counseling, residential and outpatient therapy, and currently private practice.  Ashley’s dedication in working with eating disorders stems from personal experiences of loved ones who have battled.  She is committed to treating the whole person (mind and body) and utilizes an integrative treatment approach in working with Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, and Life Transitions. She draws from evidence based approaches including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy™  to personalize each person’s course of treatment towards whole body wellness. Ashley believes that while life is always changing, there remains one constant which is the power clients have over their own life.  She welcomes the opportunity to work with clients in discovering this inner power and assist each individual in achieving full recovery from Eating Disorders.
