Amanda Cosel

Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary in December of 2014. She has a Bachelors’ degree in Sociology with a concentration of cultural studies from the University of Northern Colorado. Her current clinical experience includes crisis intervention along with co-occurring disorders, such as mental health disorders and addiction work. During her counseling internship, she developed an expertise in eating disorder treatment and became EDIT™ Certified. She is drawn to an Existential and Cognitive Behavioral approach, using mindfulness and Narrative therapy to help one reach their upmost potential. Through this approach, she hopes to guide one to freedom through awareness, while integrating the whole of the person. She has a special interest in women’s issues along with grief and loss work. Amanda provides eating disorder treatment to help individuals discover their authentic beauty through integration of the whole person, while uncovering the source of one’s hopes and desires. Upon request, she is able to offer Christian Counseling to incorporate one’s faith and Biblical values
