There is a beautiful saying in Filipino that states, “Radikal ang magmahal” – To love is the most radical act we can do. When all things seem bleak, uncertain, and challenging, the most radical act is to still choose to show love to ourselves and others. That is a marker of true strength.

Alyssa Dar Juan

Alyssa is one of the Founders of FAM Mnl, a mental health advocacy organization that aims to promote psychoeducation and mental health support. She is a licensed psychometrician and is a Master’s Candidate taking Clinical Psychology at De La Salle University-Manila. She is also an Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy Clinician.

Currently, she is the Internship coordinator at In Touch Community Services. As part of her clinical experience, she works as a volunteer counselor handling Pro Bono cases for people with trauma, eating disorders, and other mental health-related issues in the same organization. She works part-time at MAGIS Creative Spaces as a mental health provider conducting Expressive Arts Therapy and resource speaker at Inquirer Academy Philippines. She is also a Mentor at the Eating Disorder Foundation, Colorado.
